First Components - RF MOSFET
Switching RF MOSFET for devices for built-in TV tuner
First Components announces the availability of the first lossless switching RF MOSFET KTK920T from KEC, Korea’s largest independent semiconductor maker. The device can reduce the power consumption of TV sets such as DVD and VTR that have built-in tuners.
The lossless switching RF MOSFET has become more important as the countries of the European Union are strengthening the regulations on standby power in electronic products. This regulation has already been enacted, stipulating that an electronic product should consume less than 1W when it is in standby mode. As such, the market for the element is very bright, as set-top box makers can adopt this element to their products to ensure that the devices can receive TV signals even when the DVD or VTR is switched off.
The newly developed RF MOSFET has a loss of 2dB or lower at 1GHz and isolation of 30dB or higher, which offers a competitive advantage. Chip-embedded package is 2.9mm*1.6mm*0.7mm in TSQ size and 2.0mm*1.25mm*0.9mm in USQ size. It can be used for numerous applications.
