- electronicAsia 2008 will feature innovations in the
electronics industry at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
from October 13 to 16, 2008

Around 550 exhibitors from all over the world are expected to attend
electronicAsia from October 13 to 16, 2008, which will be held at the
Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.The largest trading platform
for electronic assemblies, components and related manufacturing
services will feature a wide range of exhibits extending from
semiconductors, embedded systems, sensors and interconnection
technology through to power supplies, manufacturing equipment and
logistics for semiconductors and components. electronicAsia will be
held concurrently with the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition).
The
Hall of Famewill be a separate exhibition area at electronicAsia 2008 in which key
players from the electronics industry will present their new products
in an attractive setting. Exhibitors such as Philips Electronics Hong
Kong Limited – Light Factory, S.I.SV.EL. (Hong Kong) Limited and
Surface Mount Technology (Holdings) Limited will show finished
components and parts which are characterized by first-class materials
and a special innovative design.
Another highlight will be
World of Display Technology, a sector in which future-oriented display components and assemblies
will be presented. Due to the rapid development of new technologies,
successful technological joint ventures, intensive research and
increasing production capacities, this sector is one of the most
dynamic in the entire electronics industry. The presentation of new
inventions in World of Display Technology will be an excellent
opportunity for exhibitors to forge varied business contacts.
Close attention will also be paid to the
Hong Kong Metal Parts and Components Pavilion. Member companies of the Hong Kong Metals Manufacturers’
Association, the organizer of this event, will exhibit in this Pavilion
high-quality parts and components which were produced by firms from
Hong Kong. In the first six months of 2008 alone, total exports of
electronics parts and components from Hong Kong amounted to JK$507
billion (approx. $65 billion). This equates an increase of 9.8%
compared with the same period in 2007.
Every year, the diversity of electronicAsia attracts buyers from all
