1.5A MOSFET drivers in SOT-23 package
Microchip announces the MCP1415 and MCP1416 (MCP141X) single-output MOSFET drivers. The inverting MCP1415 and non-inverting MCP1416 MOSFET drivers are rated for a peak output current of 1.5A, over a wide operating voltage range of 4.5V – 18V. Both devices have excellent latch-up immunity and are available in a miniature 5-pin SOT-23 package.

Display challenges under control
Las Vegas was a fitting venue for CES, earlier this year, with a futuristic view of LCDs in motor cars. Models on show sported displays fitted into door pockets, wheel wells and even, passenger windows (facing outwards!). In reality, navigation, entertainment and driver...
Safety issues stimulate systems design approach
It is the integration of safety features, such as stability control or ABS, with information systems, enabled by in-vehicle networks, that is driving a wholesale change in architectural-level design in vehicles. Functionality such as drive-by-wire and autonomous vehicle...
