Location


São Paulo is the economic centre of Brazil. Almost 50 % of Brazilian production is generated here, although the population accounts for a share of only 11 %. Almost three-quarters of the high-tech companies are concentrated in São Paulo. The City is also the leading centre for the production of capital goods and consumer durables.

With 18 million inhabitants São Paulo is both the heart of the Brazilian economy and the most important trade fair venue for the whole of Latin America. São Paulo has modern trade fair grounds with corresponding infrastructure and thus satisfies all the criteria for successful trade fair participation.

Studies undertaken by Abinee - Brazilian Electrical Electronic Industry Association indicate that the turnover of the Brazilian electro-electronic sector in 2007 will increase 15% over the 2006 results, surpassing R$120 (US$55.8) billion.
The areas that should present the best results are: Informatics (23%); GTD (20%); Industrial Equipment (15%); Industrial Automation (14%); and Installation Electrical Material (13%), whose growth can be attributed to the civil construction industry, which presents excellent perspectives for 2007.
